The Taberd dictionary was begun in 1772 by Pigneau de Béhaine (Bá Đa Lộc), and first published outside of Vietnam in 1838 with the help of Philiphê Phan Văn Minh. It is a classic and rare dictionary and occupies a special place in the historical treasure of quốc ngữ and chữ Nôm. This is the second printing after 200 years.
