ABOUT IVCE
The Institute for Vietnamese Culture & Education (IVCE) is a New York 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 2000, that is a leader in promoting Vietnamese culture, assisting Vietnamese students study abroad in American universities, and supporting cultural and educational exchange between the United States and Vietnam.
In the U.S., IVCE collaborates with premier institutions including: the Asia Society, Asian Cultural Council, American Museum of Natural History, Center for Media, Culture and History – New York University, Freer Gallery of Arts – Smithsonian Institution, Yale University, Harvard University.
In Vietnam, IVCE collaborates with Ha Noi National University, Ho Chi Minh National University, Hue University, Can Tho University, Thai Nguyen University, Hanoi University of Technology, Da Nang University of Technology, etc..
IVCE FELLOWSHIP IN THE U.S
IVCE provides 3-5 fellowship grants annually to individuals and institutions. Fellowships to individuals (artists, scholars and researchers) constitute the majority of IVCE’s grants. Grants are also made to educational and cultural institutions engaged in projects of special significance to Vietnam-American exchange. Grants are made in the following fields: literature, cinema, dance, music, media, painting, photography, and theater. Applicants are encouraged to pursue research programs in any cultural discipline that is consistent with the interests and goals of the IVCE.

- Financial assistance for primary research, independent work, working for organizations and institutions in the U.S. - Financial assistance can also be applied towards intensive English language instruction. - All fellows receive IVCE’s full support to access to our participating partners in the U.S
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Annual deadline: TBA - Resume of educational and working experience - Personal statement (individual) or statement of purpose (institutions), of no more than 1000 words. FELLOWSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Vietnamese nationals currently residing and working in Vietnam. - Hold a baccalaureate degree. - At least three years of working, community service, or development-work experience after university. - Demonstrate long-term commitment to the project requiring IVCE fellowship, even after period of fellowship. - Submit summary report at the end of fellowship and assisting future fellows. - Demonstrate personal integrity and commitment towards community service.
